MAGIC Travelers Trips

Enjoy popular attractions each month. Travel fees for transportation and admission tickets are included in the fee listed. The cost of lunch is at your own expense. Walking requirements and accessibility vary. Pre-registration for events is required. There is no guide and/or tour leader for trips unless specified in individual trip descriptions.  

Please refer to this chart/scale to see the level of walking expected for each trip:

  • 1 Sneaker: light walking distance and minimal standing
  • 2 Sneakers: moderate walking distance and extended bouts of standing (greater than 3 minutes at a time)
  • 3 Sneakers: walking over graded and/or uneven surfaces and less than a flight of stairs

All MAGIC Travelers Trips are independent day trips, if you require additional assistance, please contact Holly Jurgensen, Recreation Specialist at (314) 963 – 6722 before registering.

Eagle Watching & Lunch at Pere Marquette

We will head to Grafton, IL, to Pere Marquette State Park and the Grafton Riverfront where the region is a major wintering spot for bald eagles. We will then enjoy lunch at the Lodge, known for their family-style fried chicken.

Chocolate, Chocolate, Chocolate Factory Tour & Lunch at The Chocolate Cafe

Just in time for Valentine’s Day, we will visit Chocolate, Chocolate, Chocolate Factory, Candy Kitchen and World Headquarters! Go down onto the factory floor where you can see, hear, smell and taste chocolate. See their candy kitchen, chocolate enrobers, and watch their candy makers hand make chocolates. After the tour, enjoy lunch at The Chocolate Cafe located in the factory, featuring coffee drinks, sweets, sandwiches, and of course chocolate!

Busch Stadium/Hall of Fame Tour & Lunch at Salt and Smoke

Elephant Rocks State Park & Lunch at Abbey Kitchen in Arcadia

Go on a Missouri adventure to Elephant Rocks, which were formed from 1.5-billion-year-old granite, giant boulders that stand end-to-end like a train of circus elephants. Rocks have created formations that intrigue geologists, are popular with history buffs interested in the past quarrying and fascinate children who love to climb on and between the boulders.
