Russell Avenue Closure Beginning Oct. 11

As part of Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District's Project Clear program, Russell Avenue from Bremerton east will be temporarily closed for six weeks starting Wednesday, Oct. 11. Construction traffic will be allowed to pass through this area but no through traffic will be permitted during this time period.

Project Clear is MSD's initiative to improve water quality and alleviate many wastewater concerns throughout St. Louis City and County. The work consists of construction of approximately 5,075 feet of 6" to 78" diameter sanitary sewer and appurtenances, 3 pipe tunnels, 1 diversion structure with 2 slide gates, 8 junction chambers, 24 manholes, 3 flow metering manholes, and related surface improvements.
