This class blends traditional Pilates exercises with balance, strength training and cardio-respiratory movements to give you a workout that will target all major muscle groups while maintaining a strong focus on the core. Taught by a certified group fitness instructor with 10 years of experience designing and implementing workouts of many styles to all fitness levels. This class will offer multiple levels of work as you move through the progressions to a stronger, more balanced and fitter self. 8-Week Session | 1-hour Class

Emily Buxbaum is an AFAA certified group fitness instructor with experience teaching in both large fitness centers, and small intimate studios. Emily has completed additional training and certifications in group resistance training, kickboxing, Pilates, Spinning and step aerobics. She has taught multiple styles of exercise classes, including high intensity interval training, weight and strength based classes, Pilates and mat-based, and cardio fitness to participants of all ages and levels of conditioning. Emily prides herself on building a class that appeals to many levels and provides options for veteran fitness enthusiasts and those new to the world of group exercise alike, so that all can be inspired to challenge themselves, and improve their minds, bodies and health. When not teaching in the gym, Emily works for Saint Louis University, and enjoys spending time with her husband and son exploring the outdoors, reading and going to local events.
